Our Sustainability work is fundamental

Our Sustainability work

We at G A Lindberg continuously strive to reduce our environmental impact by systematically work to improve our own operations in terms of energy and resource efficiency, emissions, waste management, transport and other relevant environmental aspects. We constantly develop our skills and collaborate with our customers and suppliers so that we can always offer the best environmentally friendly product or solution. We are well aware of, and comply with all applicable environmental legislation and relevant product standards relating to our operations.

Our biggest asset is our high level of technical know-how, our assortment of market-leading brands and our own expertise within sustainability. We promise that we always strive to improve our operations and product choices from an sustainable point of view and can thereby create environmental benefits for our customers and interact with the environments in which we operate, with our employees, our business partners and society at large.

The principle of substitution

We have a substitution service where our salespeople work together with our HSEQ manager and review the range to see if something is possible to replace with a more environmentally friendly and work environment friendly alternative or ways to reduce exposure with aids or protection. In 2020, G A Lindberg participated as a speaker at the Chemicals Inspectorate's forum for a non-toxic environment aimed at small and medium-sized companies. Substitution is about continuous improvement. To constantly find new solutions to make products and processes safer. We actively work with this through optimization proposals and Industrial sustainability economics. Find out more how we work with optimization proposals.

Label indicates that a product may be preferable from an environmental point of view.

As part of our sustainability work, we ecolabel the products that meet the requirements for less environmental impact in cases where this is possible, in order to better guide customers in choosing products with an ecolabel.

G A Lindberg sponsors Solvatten

Approximately one billion people lack access to clean water. As part of our sustainability efforts, G A Lindberg has been supporting and donating to Solvatten since 2011, where we also contributed with a technical solution for the container's bonding application. Through our donation, 1.7 million liters of water can be purified each year, providing clean water to countries in need. Solvatten not only assists people in developing countries and vulnerable areas with access to clean water for household and healthcare purposes, but also has significant climate benefits, as the technology solely relies on sunlight to purify and heat water.
