Molykote special lubricants include a very broad program, below we present an overview of the most common types and lubricant products.

Pastor

Paste contains high levels of solid lubricants, often up to 50%, which prevent metal - metal contact. There are three different types of paste, for three different types of applications.

Lubricating grease

Contains mostly base oil and is often used to lubricate bearings.

There are a number of products with different types of base oils, base oil viscosities and other additives to optimally lubricate most applications, map load, temperatures, environment, service life, materials. The Molykote range also includes special products for o-ring lubrication/sealing and other special applications.

Sliding varnish

Dry lubrication films which in some cases can provide lifetime lubrication. Available as air-curing or heat-curing, the heat-curing ones have better performance but are more complicated to use. We are in contact with a company that can apply sliding varnish on details.

Slip varnish overview

Chain lubricant

It is important that the lubricant penetrates to the link pins in order to do its job. Several products therefore contain different types of solvents, which then leave after application - after which a grease-like lubricant remains, which also remains during rotations.

There are also different types of base oils to cope with higher temperatures, as well as products with solid lubricants to minimize wear.

There are two types; Microsize with small particles and Z powder with a slightly larger particle size.

Oil suspensions
M55Plus is advantageously added to heavily loaded gears approx. 5%, for quieter running and longer life. Molykote A is developed for car engines and is added to the engine oil.
